The Round Table of Chantelle Baxter

The Round Table of Chantelle Baxter

This is the latest entry into a collection of Round Tables put together by people who have caught my eye for one reason or another.  The collection exists to introduce you to both the owner of the table and those seated at it.

If you missed the original Round Table post, check it out here.  I’d love to see yours added in the comments – or email it to me.

Chantelle Baxter

Chantelle Baxter is the co-founder of One Girl, a freakin’ AMAZING non-profit organization that works with women and girls in Sierra Leone, West Africa.  I met her in Portland at the World Domination Summit, but she was already dominating the world.  And she’s Australian, which is important.

Eve Ensler

The brains behind the Vagina Monologues, v-day, vevolution and reclaiming the word cunt (can I say that on here?). Eve grew up in a tough home, but rather than using her past as an excuse to check out of life – she used it to empower herself. She’s changed the lives of thousands of women around the world, and raised more than $80 million to stop violence against women and girls. A complete, utter and total inspiration. I recently flew to New York to meet her, I gave her a two second handshake and like a true gushing fan said.. “OMGyouaresuchaninspirationtomeohmygodiloveyou”. Smooth.

Seth Godin

A modern day Albert Einstein. He challenges me to constantly reassess the work I’m doing, and how I’m doing it. I want to do work that matters. I want to live an unconventional life. Seth Godin encompasses all of this. If you haven’t read LinchPin or Purple Cow (or any of his books), get onto it – there is a reason ‘God’ is part of his name.

Scott Harrison

An inspirational CEO who has built Charity:Water from the ground up. Charity Water has a gorgeous brand, beautiful website, innovative ideas and it only seems to get better each year. Scott uses the power of the web to share their message and they incorporate gorgeous design, photos, videos and story telling to inspire people to act. And it’s working, they’ve built thousands of wells across the developing world in just 5 years.

Gaia (spirit of the earth)

Our beautiful mother earth. The only reason we are all here. She gives us air, water, trees, food and asks for nothing in return. Despite the fact that we exploit her, plunder her resources and harm her in every way possible, she still generously gives us what we need to survive. I can’t wait for the day when the world wakes up and realises its inseparable connection to mother earth, and we treat her with the love, respect and honour that she deserves.

Gordon Ramsey

Chef Ramsey. Loud, brutal, swearing Chef Ramsey. He says exactly what he thinks – and most of the time, he’s right on the money! He never second guesses himself. He’ll tell the truth, even when the person he’s speaking to can’t bear to hear it. He’s so blatantly honest, and he’ll stand strong no matter how much shit people throw back at him. He knows who he is, and he’s unshakeable. I love that.

Marty Drill

The man responsible for ‘waking me up’. He’s my old boss from Get Started (a web company I used to work for). This amazing man believed in me before I even believed in myself. He registered and paid for the personal development course that completely transformed my life. Marty has supported me AND every member of my family, he’s been there every time I’ve needed a shoulder to cry on – and he’s the one person I can count on no matter what. I love this man. A true rockstar.

Ella (my dog)

Ella is a total expression of undying unequivocal unconditional love. Despite her mooshed pug face, her demented teeth and wiry smelly fur, she believes that everyone loves her, and she proceeds to love them wholeheartedly in return. Even when you first meet her, she’ll get so excited she’ll pee on the ground right next to your feet. If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is.

Pam Slim & Danielle LaPorte

I couldn’t choose just one, so I figured I’d pick both of them and morph them into some kind of awesome super-human force of nature. I chose Pam Slim because she is SO in touch with her feminine energy, very connected to nature and the laws of the universe. She connects with everyone she meets on a very deep level, and she radiates an energy that just screams “I am love”. Pam is a beautiful soul. And Danielle LaPorte is a Firestarter! She’s sassy, witty, blatantly honest and she embraces every part of herself. A force to be reckoned with. They’re both fabulous coaches too, so I’d love to have them at the table so they can kick my ass whenever I’m not performing.
